The Library Documentation Centre (BCD) is the place where everything and anything which is written can be found in all its forms. All students from the first year of nursery school to CM2 class come here at least once a week. The smallest go there to listen to tales and stories. The biggest may be doing searches for various documents. Each student can borrow books.
They take advantage of a computerized collection that includes more than 6000 copies, a part of which (about 1500 documents) is distributed and is used as an own library of each class. There are books to discover stories and tales, alone or with an adult, but also 2000 documentary, nonfiction books and 12 subscriptions to youth magazines. Every year, we register more than 12000 lending.
The wide variety of offered works allows teachers to diversify their practices in the teaching of reading. Students are encouraged to make choices and build their reading habits.
The BCD offers all children not only the means to learn how to read, but also a pleasant atmosphere that encourages them to love reading.
